Actuator for Testing and Ultrasonic Cleaning of Electro-Magnetic Valves for Automatic Transmissions ATSV-A-1

Testing and activating electromagnetic valves of automatic transmissions before, after, and during ultrasonic cleaning. The actuator generates an appropriate electrical impulse with adjustable voltage, frequency, and duration, which activates the electromagnetic valve of the automatic transmission and allows it to function outside the automatic transmission assembly.

The testing of the electromagnetic valve’s functionality is performed by connecting the valve to the actuator, which sends an impulse to activate the valve. The valve is then submerged in the appropriate oil for the specific automatic transmission, heated to the working temperature of the transmission. A functional valve will open and close correctly under these conditions.

It allows fluid to circulate through the electromagnetic valve and ensures that the valve’s channel is filled with cleaning fluid. Since ultrasonic waves only propagate through liquids and not air, if the valve is not functioning during ultrasonic cleaning, the cleaning effect will not be achieved, and the valve’s channel will remain as dirty as before the cleaning process.
